Minutes of the 49th Meeting of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association held on 9th August 2026. .

Date: 9 August, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM
Venue: Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. .

The 49th meeting of the Association was held on 9 August 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Senior Citizen Bhavan Meeting Hall. As per the agenda, the following discussions, acknowledgements and resolutions were presented before the members and approved by them.

1. Welcome Address: .
The General Secretary, Mr. V Narasimha Rao Garu, warmly welcomed all the honorary members to the 49th meeting of the Association.
Mr. V Narasimha Rao Garu invited President Dr. Jayanth Kumar Garu to preside the chair and then all the Executive Committee members onto the dais.

2. Inviting and Introducing New Member:.
K. Mohan dasan was invited into the senior association family.
Avinash Prasad a new member was invited into the association on behalf of all senior citizens. He introduced himself to the association members.

3. Birthday Wishes – August: .
Members celebrating birthdays in August were felicitated with shawls and greeted:

• B.-             Sri K. Vijayanand Rao Garu – 02/08/1954
• C.-             Sri B. Sreenivas Rao Garu – 01/08/1965

The following members could not attend the meeting, but the birthday wishes were conveyed to them and prayed for their long life and good health even in their absence:

All the members greeted with applause, and prayed for their good-health and long-life:

For the birthday celebrations, sweets and snacks were generously sponsored by by Sri K. Vijayanand Garu (₹1,940), Sri B. Srinivas Rao Garu (₹1,116) and K. K. Sharma Garu (₹500).
The President expressed his sincere gratitude to all the sponsors.

4. The Financial Report: .
The in charge of refreshments, Sri G. Venkateswar Rao Garu, presented the account balance of sponsored fund of refreshments. As per the report, the balance left as on 9th of August 2026 is ₹4451.00.

5. Discussion on Independence Day program: .
The members unanimously agreed to celebrate 80th Independence Day as follows, on 15th of August, 2026.
8;00 AM Gathering at the Senior Citizen Bhavan.
8.20 AM Pooja near flag and Vandematharam.
8:30 AM Hoisting the National Flag and National Anthem Jana Gana Mana.
8:35 AM Adress by President, Secretary and other members.
8:50 AM Refreshments.
8:55 AM End of the program with Vote of thanks.
9:00 AM Moving to Green park to attend Colony’s Flag heisting program.

6. Presidential Address: .
The President expressed his sincere appreciation to the team of Senior Citizen members who visited and enquired about the well-being of Sri Kondamoodi Subba Rao Garu, Sri Addanku Subba Rao Garu.
He extended gratitude to CMC officials with team for one hour session to explain about proper method of SIR form filling, and doubt clarification.
The President his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. M. Vijaya Kumar Garu from KIMS Hospital Kondapur, for providing valuable information about, Hepatitis and liver, the possible diseases, diagnostic tests, treatments and precautions to be taken. CBP and LFT tests were also conducted on the occasion of world Hepatitis day on 28th June 2026.
The President expressed his sincere appreciation to the team of Senior Citizen members with whom the Association has earned considerable respect, reputation, and goodwill among the society, colony members, Officials of Municipal Corporation and public representatives.

7. Conclusion of Meeting with Vote of Thanks: .
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sri V. Narasimha Rao Garu.

8. Attending Flag Heisting Program at Green park: .
All the senior citizen members attended flag heisting program at Green Park.
